Essex Wildlife Trust Outdoor Café Decking

The Essex Wildlife Trust had old timber decking surrounding their welcoming Belfairs Woodland Centre café restaurant which was beginning to rot and required a new rot proof decking product with good anti-slip properties. They also wanted to ensure the material they used was a more sustainable and longer lasting solution.

The Solution

The project used 200 m² of Hyperion Stone Pioneer decking installed over the existing sub-frame which was still in good condition. Using a skilled team of installers and quick to install hidden fastener system, the old decking was replaced with minimal inconvenience to the public. To add to the versatility of Hyperion Decking products, the curved edge of the deck was covered with fascia board to effortlessly match the contours of the existing structure.
