Meeting High-Rise Legislation with Quality Flooring

Thrayle House required a balcony flooring system across its 170-home redevelopment, including buildings up to 20 storeys. Because of updated fire-safety rules, only materials certified to Class A1 or A2 under EN 13501-1 could be used on external attachments. The specification needed to cover residents from families to older occupants, ensuring durability and compliance.

Outdoor Porcelain Tiles with Support Substructure

The chosen solution employed outdoor porcelain paving, selected for its non-combustible nature and aesthetics that complement the building’s tones. The system uses a supporting frame of adjustable metal pedestals, with a surface finish that delivers benefits such as scratch-resistance, anti-fade technology and low maintenance.

"Designed to comply with current legislation, EnviroBuild’s porcelain paving tiles were selected to furnish all balconies across the Thrayle House collection."
