Client
Transforming a High-Traffic Outdoor Restaurant Terrace
The Groucho Club required a robust decking solution with low environmental impact for their restaurant terrace, which sees around 3,000 visitors a week. The deck had to be installed over a flat roof with limited build height due to door thresholds. The constraint demanded a very low-profile design without compromising safety or longevity.

Walnut Composite Decking & Low-Profile Substructure
To meet the height constraints, Walnut Pioneer decking was specified for its anti-slip, durable properties and eco credentials. The substructure used low-profile Manticore recycled plastic bearers and ultra-thin support pads to minimize the height build-up. Hidden fasteners and flush trims delivered a clean, practical finish suitable for the demanding conditions of a rooftop terrace.
