Designing a Lounge Terrace for Year-Round Use
As an exclusive private members’ club, Holland Park Tennis Club needed a lounge terrace that balanced elegance and durability. The design brief called for a non-slip, anti-splinter decking solution able to handle frequent foot traffic and spill risk, while offering a relaxing atmosphere for guests before or after matches. The terrace would be a visual extension of the club grounds, affording views over tennis courts and garden surroundings.

For the 60 m² terrace, Slate Hyperion Frontier solid composite boards were chosen for their realistic timber effect and performance properties. The product was selected for its resistance to warp, rot, staining, and fading, backed by a 15-year commercial warranty, ideal for high-use outdoor spaces. Steps were edged with matching Frontier bullnose fascia boards for a seamless effect.

"Holland Park Lawn Tennis Club Committee chose EnviroBuild products as a great fit for the discerning members of the Club. The new Clubhouse members terrace area has provided a fantastic addition to the Club’s facilities providing a very suitable area for members to relax before or after their game. The terrace has withstood high usage by members all through last season and still looks as good today as it did the day it was installed over 12 months ago. I would not hesitate to recommend EnviroBuild products for any project as The Club has found them to be of exceptional quality."
