The original garden layout was failing: the timber deck near the kitchen showed signs of instability, the lawn dominated the space, and the suntrap at the far end was overgrown and barely used. The family sought to transform the garden into a modern sanctuary that fits their lifestyle, requiring a design that maximised usable space while demanding minimal maintenance.
Silver Birch Decking, Pergola & Kid-Friendly Zones
Silver Birch composite decking was introduced as a durable, low-maintenance surface. The design added a wooden pergola over the new decking area to offer shelter and visual structure. The deck leads into an adjacent children’s play zone built with complementary geometric pavers. Thanks to the non-slip properties of the decking, it is well-suited for family life, safe for children and free from the maintenance of timber.
