Embracing the Terrain to Create Distinct Garden Zones
The garden was sloped and uneven, presenting a design challenge that the client and designer wanted to turn into an opportunity. Rather than flattening everything, the layout celebrates the slope by creating visually distinct, multifunctional zones that flow together. The deck serves as a central pathway linking two main areas, providing structure and movement through the garden.
Granite Composite Decking & Planting Scheme
The project uses Hyperion Granite composite decking as the garden’s striking base. Its deep tone complements lush planting schemes with alliums, grasses, roses, shrubs and perennials, along with structural planting like ferns, bamboos and a partly lifted laurel to enhance natural light. The decking also offers non-slip performance, aligning with the client’s need for durability and low maintenance.
