Bringing Colour and Sustainability to Contemporary Garden Design
Designer Hana Leonard wanted to celebrate recycled materials and draw attention to the environmental impact of horticultural waste. Inspired by the excess of plastic packaging and non-recyclable plant pots, she envisioned a garden that was not only green and beautiful but also entirely made from recycled plastic. EnviroBuild’s Hyperion composite decking offered the ideal balance of sustainability, creativity, and performance for her artistic garden concept.
Using Every Colour of Hyperion Decking to Create a Statement Piece
To bring the vision to life, the project used Hyperion Explorer composite decking in all available colours, forming a vibrant, multi-tonal centrepiece within the garden. The installation demonstrates how recycled products can be both visually captivating and eco-friendly. In total, the project helped divert 679 kg of plastic from landfill, the equivalent of 35,652 plastic bottles, proving that sustainability and design can coexist beautifully.
