Pioneer Stone Decking

Levelling a Sloping Garden with Raised Decking

The clients, Phillip and his son, embarked on a DIY renovation to overcome a challenging, steeply sloping garden. The solution was to build a raised deck frame that would create a flat, usable surface across the breadth of the house. This allowed them to turn a difficult terrain into a seamless, expansive outdoor living area ideal for relaxing and entertaining.

Why Stone Hyperion Decking Was Selected

They chose Hyperion Pioneer decking in Stone, a grey timber-effect composite board, for both its aesthetic harmony with their home and its performance benefits. To support the large 105 m² deck, a robust substructure of treated timber posts was used, and recycled plastic balustrades framed the edges. The result is a low-maintenance, durable terrace that blends style, functionality, and longevity.

“EnviroBuild has been very much part of the project from start to finish. … helping set up our viewing, it has made what is often the trickiest bit of a project a pleasure.”

— Philip McDuell
